The door to the bridge slid open with a sharp hiss, the Castle of Lions humming around you as you stepped inside. The air was thick, heavy with tension.

Shiro

Both of you, that's enough!

His voice cut through the chaos, but didn't land. Lance and Keith were squared off in the center of the room, a hair's breadth away from each other's faces. Their helmets were discarded on the floor, chest plates still smudged with dust from the failed mission.

Lance

Oh, I'm sorry, Mr. Perfect Mullet, did you want me to just let you take the shot and get us all blown up? Because that's what would've happened!

Keith

You were supposed to cover the east flank! Instead, you went rogue and got us cornered. Again. God, you're insufferable. Can't you take anything seriously for once?!

Keith's voice cracked on the last word, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. On the far side of the room, Pidge was leaning against a console, arms crossed, watching with narrowed eyes. Hunk stood beside them, his expression pained, like he was caught between wanting to intervene and knowing it wouldn't help.
