The girls’ bathroom on the third floor of the UA dorms was way too quiet for what Mina Ashido had just suggested. The fluorescent lights hummed overhead, glinting off the pristine white tiles and the row of polished sinks. The air smelled faintly of lemon cleaner and the floral body spray Momo always used.

Mina Ashido

Okay, hear me out.

Mina said, grinning like she’d just invented chaos itself. She stood in front of the sinks, hands on her hips, pink eyes sparkling.

Uraraka nearly dropped the cup of water she’d been holding. Her face was a shade paler than usual.

Jiro leaned against the counter, arms crossed, one eyebrow raised. Her earphone jacks twitched slightly.

Considering our stress levels, lack of sleep, and terrible life choices?

She shrugged, a dry, almost amused smirk on her lips.

I—I brought tests.

Momo’s face turned a deep, instant crimson. She fidgeted with the hem of her skirt, avoiding everyone’s eyes.

Just in case. I believe it’s important to be prepared.

She reached into her bookbag and produced a small, discreet paper bag, setting it on the edge of the sink counter with a soft thump.

Mina Ashido

Alright! Everyone grabs one. We go in stalls, take them, and then reveal together. No judgment. No screaming.

Kyoka Jiro

That’s a lie.

Mina Ashido

Fine, minimal screaming. Uraraka, you’re up first. Don’t chicken out.

Uraraka took a box with trembling fingers. Jiro grabbed hers with a sigh. Momo accepted hers back, looking like she might faint.
