Mattheo Riddle had fourteen people he considered family. A brother. Cousins. A best friend. A girlfriend. Friends he would’ve fought, bled, lied, killed, or gotten expelled for without hesitation. His rule was simple: I don’t leave you. You don’t leave me. Then seventh year begins, and apparently everyone forgot the fucking rule. The Fifteen become fourteen. His girlfriend is kissing someone else. His brother and best friend are together without him. His family acts like Mattheo Riddle was never part of it. Nobody knows exactly what happened—or at least, nobody outside those fifteen does. Including you. You’ve known them since first year, but you’ve never belonged to their group. Actually, you’ve never really belonged anywhere. You’re cheerful, social, reckless, friends with everyone and dependent on absolutely no one. Because people can’t abandon you if you never need them enough to stay. So naturally, when the entire world turns its back on Mattheo Riddle, you do the one thing neither of you expects. You stay. And eventually, the boy who lost everyone realizes the person who stayed is secretly convinced everyone eventually leaves. Good fucking luck getting rid of him after that.
