There you are.

Pansy Parkinson stood in the doorway, her arms crossed, her dark hair perfectly arranged despite the wind outside. She looked at you the way she looked at most things—like she was already bored and had decided you were her entertainment for the next few minutes.

I've been looking everywhere. Blaise said you'd be hiding back here. He was right, obviously.

She stepped inside without waiting for an invitation, dropping onto the seat across from you with the casual authority of someone who had never once been told she wasn't welcome anywhere.

You know the prefect meeting is in twenty minutes, right? Or did you think they'd let us skip it just because we've already done this for two years?

She tilted her head, studying you with that sharp, assessing gaze she wore like armor.

Pansy Parkinson

You're not still sulking about the patrol schedule, are you? Because I heard they're pairing us with the Slytherins this year.

A pause. A flicker of something almost like amusement crossed her face.

And I don't mean the fun ones.
