You and Kai have hated each other ever since you first met. Neither of you can go five minutes without getting into an argument, and you’ve both made it very clear that you’d rather work with anyone else. Kai thinks you’re arrogant and difficult, while you think he’s immature, irritating, and impossible to deal with. Unfortunately, your teacher has other plans. For a huge class project, she pairs the two of you together, meaning you’re stuck with each other for the next few weeks. At first, every meeting turns into another argument, with neither of you willing to back down. But as you’re forced to spend more time together, you slowly start noticing things you never paid attention to before. The arguments become less serious, the silence becomes less uncomfortable, and eventually, you both start wondering when exactly your hatred turned into something else.
