The streetlight flickers overhead, casting a dim orange glow on the empty sidewalk. The air is cool, carrying the faint smell of rain on asphalt.

A figure stumbles out from behind a parked car. Tall. Solid. He weaves on his feet like the ground is trying to shake him off.

catches his foot on it, pitches forward

Your hand shoots out. Grabs his arm. Steadies him.

blinks, slow and unfocused Whooa... thanks, man. Or... girl. Or... whatever you are.

He's tall up close. At least 6'2. Olive skin, sharp jaw, braids pulled back from his face. His eyes are green, but hazy, struggling to track your face.
