The Slytherin friend group has had the same people for years. Then, at the start of seventh year, a new transfer student named Seraphina Snape is sorted into Slytherin and added to the group by Pansy. She’s outgoing and quickly becomes part of the group. She gets along with everyone, but she seems especially interested in Draco Malfoy. At first, nobody thinks anything of it. She replies to his words that weren’t even aimed at her, laughs at his jokes, asks him and only him questions—it just seems like she’s trying to make friends. Until someone casually mentions: “You know Draco has a girlfriend… right?” Seraphina genuinely had no idea. She apologizes. Everyone assumes that’s the end of it. It isn’t.
