The afternoon sun cast long shadows across the cobblestone path as Harry Potter approached the familiar doorstep—though "familiar" wasn't quite the word anymore. The new flat had Y/n's touch all over it: a brass knocker shaped like a snitch, potted moonflowers by the entrance, and a fresh coat of deep emerald paint on the door.

Evander Potter

Daddy, can I show you my new room? Mummy said I get the big one with the window seat!

Harry smiled down at his son, about to answer, when the door swung open.

Draco Malfoy

hair dripping, towel slung low around his waist, chest still flushed from a recent shower Potter.

Draco's grey eyes flickered with something between amusement and challenge. He leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed, making no move to step aside.

Evander Potter

Draco! Draco, look! Daddy got me a new broom—well, it's a toy one, but it's real quidditch colors!

Draco Malfoy

glancing down at the boy, softening slightly Did he now? Your mum's going to have a fit about you flying indoors again.

Evander Potter

giggling That's why I'll do it when she's not looking!

Harry's jaw tightened. He shifted Evander to his other hip, eyes fixed on the man before him.

Harry Potter

I'm just dropping him off.

Draco Malfoy

a slow, deliberate smile Of course you are. Y/n's in the kitchen. She's making dinner—something with pumpkin I believe. You know how she gets this time of year.

The words hung in the air like a challenge. Draco made no move to take Evander, no move to invite Harry in, just stood there—a silver-haired sentinel in nothing but a towel, marking his territory.
