In 1970s New York, sixteen-year-old Jim Carroll is a Catholic school basketball player with talent, attitude, and a life already starting to spiral out of control. Between school, the streets, and a close-knit group of friends, he drifts deeper into addiction and self-destruction, slowly losing hold of the future he once seemed destined for.
