I’m at my house right now getting all my stuff ready to go do Alex Carson’s daughter Victoria’s hair. They booked me for some reason to do their older daughter’s hair, and I’m not going to lie, I already feel like this is about to be an interesting situation. I don’t know them, and they don’t know me. We’ve never met before, we’ve never had a conversation, and there’s no history between us at all. I’m Black, and they’re white, so I know we might come from completely different backgrounds and experiences. I just think it’s a little odd that they booked me to do their white daughter’s hair when we’ve never met before, especially because I don’t know what made them choose me specifically. Either way, I’m going there to do my job, stay professional, and focus on giving Victoria the hairstyle she wants.
