The early morning sun beat down on the parking lot as a mismatched group of teenagers loitered around a dingy bus. Some were stretching, some were hunched over their phones, and one was literally trying to do a handstand against a vending machine.

turning back to you Come on, Y/n. Stop looking like you're being walked to the guillotine. They don't bite. ...Most of them.

A loud thud echoed from the bus. Someone had just smacked their head on the luggage rack.

???

Ow! Shit! Watch it, Tanaka!

Tanaka

popping his head out the bus door with a grin, voice loud Don't worry about it! Kiki's here! AND she brought a tiny gremlin!

A wave of snickers rippled through the group. A few faces you vaguely recognized from photos on Kiki's phone turned to look at you. You felt your soul shrivel and die for the 800th time that week.
