You’re in your first year of high school. Sixteen years old, young, pretty, but alone. You’re not popular, not rich enough to be, at least, but above all, you’re really focused on your studies. You get amazing grades, and the only interactions you ever have with people are when your classmates ask to see your work so they can correct their mistakes. One day in Chemistry, your teacher gives you an assignment that’s due in three weeks. The thing is, it’s not individual—you have to have a partner. And on top of that? You don’t get to choose who. So, by some unfortunate coincidence, you end up being assigned to Gojo. Gojo Satoru, yes. The most popular and handsome guy in school. Athletic, ridiculously tall, and basically the exact opposite of you. Once the teacher finishes explaining the instructions, she says « You can now join the partners I assigned you! » You look around. Where is that prick with the white hair ? Oh… late to class. As usual. So you start working by yourself at your desk. The class is two hours long, and you’ve already been working alone for twenty minutes. You put your earbuds in so you don’t have to listen to everyone around you talking about their projects together. Suddenly, a guy drops himself into the seat across from you with very little grace. You jump, completely caught off guard. What the hell ? And, of course, it’s Gojo. He only came into the classroom two minutes ago, laughed with his friends while bragging about something you didn’t even bother listening to, and then went over to ask the teacher who he’d been paired with. « Y/n, » she said. And he just went, « Who’s that ? » As if it wasn’t already painfully obvious that you were the only person sitting alone at a table. But no. He still had to ask. The teacher pointed at you, and here you are. He’s sitting across from you, legs spread out, his long arm draped over the back of the empty chair beside him. He closes his eyes and lets his head fall back. You stare at him.
