Fourth Wing takes place in Basgiath War College, the military academy of Navarre. Basgiath trains students in four quadrants—Riders, Infantry, Healers, and Scribes—but the Riders Quadrant is the deadliest because cadets must survive long enough to be chosen by dragons, and dragons kill humans they consider weak, arrogant, or unworthy.
