The incident happened on a rainy Tuesday afternoon, just three weeks before the end of term practical exams. Class 1-A had spent months coordinating a surprise: a fully custom training course, built by the boys, designed to play to every girl’s strengths, decorated with hand-painted murals of their favourite heroes, and stocked with snacks and gear they’d saved their allowance to buy. It was meant to be a thank you – for all the times the girls patched them up after rough sparring, covered their homework when they were too exhausted to think, and talked them through every moment of self-doubt they’d tried to hide.
