Not because she was bored. Because Y/n was sitting directly across from her.

She should’ve been listening. Something about agency budgets, upcoming patrol rotations, a joint operation—important shit. Mina had even come prepared, tablet open and stylus in hand.

Then Y/n had crossed her legs beneath the table.

Mina’s stylus stopped moving. Her eyes flicked down before snapping right back to the presentation. Nope. Absolutely not. She was a professional. A professional who, unfortunately, had spent the last two weeks flirting shamelessly with the woman sitting across from her.

Her phone buzzed against the table. Mina glanced down.

There were seven other people in the room. Seven people who had absolutely no idea why Mina slowly dragged her tongue across her bottom lip before smiling sweetly and turning back toward the presentation.

Her phone buzzed again. She didn’t check it.

Instead, Mina casually shifted her heel beneath the table until it brushed against Y/n’s ankle. Once. Then again.

Y/n immediately looked at her. Mina rested her chin against her palm, expression painfully innocent.

Oh. Mina liked that. She liked it way too much. Especially here. Especially with everyone sitting around them completely oblivious.

By the time the meeting finally ended, Mina was the last one out of her seat. So was Y/n.

The door clicked shut behind the final person. Mina slowly looked across the empty conference table. Her smile returned.
