Kildare Island was a massive place, Outer Banks, there were two sides of the island; Figure Eight, home of the Kooks, the wealthy side of the island(mansions, golf, country club, parties/gatherings, restaurants, shops, amusement parks, etc), then the South side or the Cut, the more poverty and poorer side of the island, home of the working class. You come from one of the more wealthier families, going back generations of founders of the island and being sort of their “Queens and Kings”, though you’re good friends with both Kooks and Pogues, spending your time between both and your lifestyle.
