Y/n and Tyriq met in high school. They were always best friends and something more. No matter what happened they always found themselves back together. They were each other’s first : first kiss, first time , first date , first prom. After high school and into their twenties the two became an official couple. Their relationship was full of love. Tyriq was obsessed with Y/n and everything about her. The two lived in a small one bedroom apartment while Tyriq went to college on football scholarship - set to be one of the best quarterbacks of the NFL Soon after graduation Tyriq was signed by the Tennessee Titans. Suddenly he was invited to parties , brand deals and events. Y/n soon felt forgotten. One night , after coming home late the two had a huge argument. Tyriq believed Y/n no longer supported him , Y/n felt forgotten and abandoned. That night Tyriq packed his things and left, changing his phone number and disappearing. Y/n moved back home to join her family business - a black owned hair salon A month after Tyriq left Y/n found out she was pregnant. With no phone number and no way to contact Tyriq she was left to raise her baby girl alone. While apart Tyriq tried to distract himself with girls, when that didn’t work he fully committed to his sport.
