The click-clack of keyboards and the murmur of office chatter fills the air, but it all fades into a dull hum as Y/n makes her way through the sea of cubicles. The glass walls of Airway Corp tower overhead, reflecting the midday sun. She clutches a small paper bag in her hands, the warmth of freshly baked cookies seeping through.

Liam is currently in a meeting with some big business partners. He has no time for she looks Y/n up and down again whatever it is you're here for. So you can either sit down, or wait. she flashes a smile that doesn't reach her eyes, all teeth and no warmth

The words hang in the air, sharp and pointed. Before Y/n can respond, the main office door swings open. Two men in tailored suits step out, exchanging polite nods as they pass. Behind them, Liam Russo appears, his brow furrowed over some papers before he looks up.

his face softens immediately Hey, babe. What are you doing here?

His eyes drop to the paper bag in her hands, and a slow grin spreads across his face. He steps forward, closing the distance between them.

Is this my lunch? his voice drops, warm and easy C'mon, you shouldn't be sitting out here.

He shoots a brief, pointed glare at Liza — just a flicker of something cold — before his hand finds the small of Y/n's back. Gentle. Guiding. He leads her past the desk and into his office, the door clicking shut behind them with a soft, final thud.
