Born in a sacred village near Jeuno known as Celestia Coniuratorum, Raine’s life changed violently when Sephiroth appeared in her home as a child. Her parents sacrificed themselves, but Leviathan intervened, shielding infant Raine and leaving behind a single black feather. Taken to Wutai, she was raised in a tense foster arrangement. Her foster father Ryler loved her deeply but projected his grief unfairly. Isolated by her heritage, Raine grew up ostracized, eventually joining the Turks where she formed an inseparable bond with Reno and Rude.
