Sam leaves Dean to continue using his demonic powers with Ruby. After Dean and Bobby lock Sam in a panic room to detox from demon blood, Sam escapes, fights Dean, and leaves with Ruby to prepare for killing Lilith, solidifying his separation from Dean.
