Natsu’s confession begins a chaotic romance caught between two rival guilds. Sting immediately forbids Natsu from courting Destiny, convinced that the reckless Fire Dragon Slayer will break his sister’s heart—or accidentally get her killed during one of his destructive adventures. Destiny refuses to let her brother control her life, leading to constant arguments between them. “I’m not a child anymore, Sting.” “You’re still my little sister.” “I can defeat half this guild without getting out of breath.” “That isn’t the point!” From that moment onward, Natsu makes it his mission to prove that his feelings are real. He visits Sabertooth with flowers that are usually burned around the edges, invites Destiny on dangerous jobs disguised as dates, and challenges anyone who insults her unusual magic. Destiny initially believes Natsu is only fascinated by her strength. Sabertooth taught her that people remained beside her only while she was useful, and she secretly fears Natsu will lose interest once he discovers how vulnerable she can be. During a mission, Destiny loses control of both dragon elements. Lava erupts beneath her feet while a blizzard forms above her, trapping her between unbearable heat and deadly cold. Everyone is ordered to retreat, but Natsu walks directly into the storm. “Get away from me!” Destiny screams. “I can’t control it!” Natsu pushes through the steam and reaches for her. “Then stop trying to control it alone.” “I could hurt you!” Natsu takes her trembling hands, even as ice spreads across his arms and lava burns beneath his boots. “You’re gonna have to do a lot worse than this to make me leave.” For the first time, Destiny allows someone to support her instead of forcing herself to remain strong. Their combined dragon magic creates a new attack called Crimson Winter Dragon’s Roar, transforming her lava and snow into a storm of burning obsidian shards
