In this version of High School Musical 2, Troy and y/n are dating at Lava Springs when Sharpay tries to buy his affection with college scouts and promotions, causing him to neglect me and our friends. Heartbroken by how much he’s changed, I quit my job and sing "Gotta Go My Own Way," which finally wakes Troy up to what he's losing. He rejects Sharpay's world to win me back, and we reunite on stage for the finale to sing "Everyday" together, choosing our relationship over status.
