Its may of 2000 and Someone on Marshall’s team hires your OC as new security (or a personal assistant) without really clearing it with him first. He’s immediately against it. He doesn’t want some new person in his space, doesn’t trust easily, and makes it obvious from day one that he thinks you’re unnecessary and in the way. He tests you constantly — being rude, giving short answers, trying to get a rise out of you, making the job harder than it needs to be. Forced proximity does the rest: long hours, late nights, travel, the usual chaos around him. The hostility stays, but it starts mixing with something else neither of you is ready to name.
