Elton Castee · Y/n story by @celine05

The van's headlights cut through the fog long before the house itself appears. Two beams, swallowed whole by the dark that hangs over the trees like a wet blanket.

Jerry

cups his hands against the window, breath fogging the glass Holy shit. That's it? That's the actual house?

Ginger

already holding her phone up, recording Look at the porch. Look at the porch. Is that a rocking chair?

Nick

It's definitely a rocking chair. And it's definitely going to end up in the thumbnail.

Jerry

turns around in his seat Y/n. Y/n, look at this. Tell me this doesn't look like every single video we've ever watched about this place.

Ginger

leans over Jerry, phone still rolling Okay, real talk — two nights. Two cameras each. Night vision on from sundown to sunrise. No cutting the feed, no leaving early.

Nick

climbs into the back to start unloading gear Unless something eats us. Then we can leave early.

Evan

from the driver's seat, kills the engine, doesn't turn around Nobody's leaving early. We drove four hours for this. finally glances back Y/n. You're the one who found this place. You got a plan, or are we just winging it?

The house sits perfectly still at the end of the driveway. Somewhere inside, a floorboard creaks. Nobody's inside to make that sound.
