The Helicarrier’s deck hummed beneath everyone's feet, the wind whipping across the open bay as the last of the storm clouds swirled overhead.

So, anyone want to explain the light show, or are we just pretending that was normal?

Steve didn’t answer. His eyes were fixed on Loki, who had gone still. Too still.

Steve Rogers

Loki. What’s happening?

Loki’s lips curved into something that wasn’t quite a smile.

Loki

Salvation, Captain. Or damnation. Depending on your perspective.

The air pressure dropped. A low hum vibrated through the metal floor.

Tony Stark

Okay. That’s not the weather.

The clouds above the Helicarrier parted in a swirling vortex of deep violet and electric blue. A figure descended through the heart of it, hammer raised, cape billowing.

Thor

Brother!

His voice boomed across the deck, joyful and commanding.

Thor

I have come to bring you home!

Then his gaze shifted—found you, landing smoothly beside him, the violet energy still clinging to your fingertips like dying embers.

Thor

And I have brought company.

The Avengers tensed. Weapons raised. Eyes locked on the two gods who had just crashed their party.
