What? I’m just saying. It’s been, what, two years? And she’s still doing the whole… tragic widow thing. For a guy who wasn’t even her boyfriend.

The words slice through the cafeteria noise. The pounding in your skull sharpens, synchronizing with the quick, shallow beat of your heart. Robin Buckley, sitting a few tables away with Steve Harrington, goes very still. Steve’s hand tightens around his milk carton.
