The neon sign of The Velvet Rabbit flickered—a rabbit mid-hop, frozen in pink light. Inside, a few stragglers nursed last call drinks. The air smelled like stale beer and something floral from a diffuser behind the bar.

Unknown Caller

Y/N? Hey, uh—sorry to call so late. It's Hoseok.

Hoseok

Look, I don't want to freak you out, but... Jungkook's here. At the bar. And he's, uh...

in the background, slurred and bright Tell her I said hi!

Hoseok

sighs Yeah. You heard that. We tried to cut him off an hour ago, but he snuck a few when we weren't looking. Can you... come get him? He won't listen to us.

The line went quiet except for the faint hum of the bar. A thud. A muffled "ow." Then Jungkook's voice again, clearer this time.

Jungkook

distant, but unmistakable Is that Y/N? Give me the phone. pause I love her. Did you know that? I love her.

Hoseok

rushed Yeah okay we definitely need help. See you soon?
