The harbor reeked of salt and smoke. A cargo ship groaned against the dock, its hull split like a carcass, crates scattered across the concrete as if flung by some careless giant. Men lay groaning—or not moving at all.

Another explosion thundered from within the mist, closer this time. Port Mafia men screamed, terrified.
