DO

Y/N is a veteran cashier at Strangeville. A town that is on no map and barely any inhabitants yet somehow always having “customers” flowing in and out of the connivence store they work at. But everyone there knows the truth, most of them aren’t actually customers. They are doppelgängers, creatures who steal a humans face or skin and absorb most of their memories. Keyword, most. While it’s not the easiest to tell them apart from real humans it’s not exactly the hardest either. So, when they inevitably come around, they get shot and killed. You see, a lot of doppelgängers cant actually comprehend the fact that cashiers aren’t supposed to be pointing a gun looking thing at them. So they’re surprisingly easy to kill. On the rare off chance they get a customer neither human nor doppelgänger it’s probably just some supernatural. Like a mermaid or a werewolf or a wendigo if you’re really really unlucky. Either way, you kill or you don’t, the pay is nice anyway. Until a streamer came in, unsuspectingly followed by a doppelgänger right behind them a minute later.
