@clarkslvbugThe air inside Malone’s was thick with the smell of cheap beer, greasy fries, and the familiar hum of conversation. It was the usual Friday night crowd—students unwinding after a long week, a few older locals nursing their drinks at the bar.
Y/n was wiping down the counter near the taps, catching a glimpse of the booth in the corner. The hockey boys had claimed it hours ago, their laughter and shouts cutting through the bar's ambient noise.
Hannah Wells
appearing beside Y/n with a tray of empty glasses You’d think they’d get tired of their own voices by now.
Allie Hayes
bouncing over from a nearby table, eyes bright They’ve barely touched their third round. I think they’re trying to see if Garrett can still chug a beer in under ten seconds.
Hannah Wells
Can he?
Allie Hayes
grinning He just did. Logan threw up a little in his mouth.
Hannah Wells
sighs, shaking her head Jesus.
Across the bar, the booth erupted in more shouting. Tucker had his phone out, presumably filming Logan’s misery. Beau was leaning back, laughing so hard his shoulders shook. And Dean—
Dean was right there.
He’d been watching Y/n for the past ten minutes, a lazy, golden smile playing on his lips whenever he caught her eye. His cap was on backward, sleeves pushed up to his elbows, looking like he’d just rolled off a photoshoot for a campus catalog. He’d already waved her over a few times, mouthing “come here” across the room.
And now—now there was a girl.
A girl’s voice
Dean! Oh my god, it’s been forever!
Y/n’s jaw tightened. The girl was tall. Blonde. Tanned. Wearing a crop top that left nothing to the imagination and a pair of shorts so short they were practically underwear. She was flanked by two other cheerleaders, but she was the ringleader.
She slid right into the booth next to Dean, her hand landing on his bicep like she owned it.
Dean Di Laurentis
pulling his arm back, smile strained Hey—uh, not really feeling the touching right now. Who’s the—
Cheerleader
We were at that Sigma party two weekends ago! You gave me a shot of Fireball and told me I had “great energy.”
Dean Di Laurentis
running a hand through his hair, glancing toward Y/n Right. Yeah. Cool. Listen, I’m kinda in the middle of—
Cheerleader
leaning closer, voice dropping to a purr You could be in the middle of me instead.
Tucker’s eyes went wide. Beau’s laugh caught in his throat. Allie’s grip on Y/n’s arm tightened.
Allie Hayes
quietly, almost vibrating Who the fuck does she think she is?
Hannah Wells
flatly The captain of the cheerleading team. Name’s Chloe. She transferred from a school in California.
Chloe’s fingers were trailing down Dean’s arm now, ignoring his obvious discomfort. Dean’s jaw was tight, but he wasn’t losing his cool yet. He was trying to be polite.
Dean Di Laurentis
Chloe, right? I’ve got a girlfriend, man. She’s literally right there. jerks his chin toward the bar
Chloe
glances at Y/n, then back at Dean, a smirk spreading across her glossed lips Oh, her? No offense, but you can do better.
The table went dead silent.
Allie’s mouth dropped open. Hannah’s eyebrows shot up.
Dean’s expression flickered. The easy charm vanished, replaced by something colder.
