Derek found a Minecraft world on his pc that was pre-installed. In this Minecraft world, he found a huge maze of puzzles and rooms, and got through it only to walk through large golden gates, and see Hastur. Hastur then forced every single piece of knowledge there ever was and ever has been onto Derek. Derek could see the future and the past perfectly, and understand everything ever. It drove him insane almost immediately, but he was able to write a note to another player, Avery, to tell him not to go to the gate.
