CORTIS was going to be a boy group under BIGHIT MUSIC before BIGHIT decided to try something new. Instead of a boy group, they thought that they would try a co-ed group instead; a group with both boys and girls. They started by picking the boys: Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho. Then they added four girls: Y/n, Soo-min, Ha-yoon, and Min-ji.
