For years, Hogwarts has known James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Peter Pettigrew, and {y/n} as the five Marauders. They’re inseparable, infamous, and completely themselves. Then, at the beginning of sixth year, five new Gryffindors arrive: Asher Blackwood, Felix Ellington, Milo Sinclair, Archie Wilson, and Sapphire Morttei. At first, their similarities to the Marauders seem funny. Asher acts like Sirius. Felix acts like James. Milo follows behind them like Peter. Archie mirrors Remus. And Sapphire seems almost determined to become {y/n}. But they’re not simply inspired by them. They’re copying them. Their jokes. Their mannerisms. Their habits. Their friendships. Even their relationships. What begins as an amusing coincidence slowly becomes something much darker. Felix’s reckless imitation of James makes Lily uncomfortable. Asher’s copied familiarity with Sirius begins crossing Marianna’s boundaries. Archie and Sapphire start recreating the close bond between Remus and {y/n} almost perfectly. By the middle of the year, the original Marauders and their friends can no longer laugh it off. Someone is watching them. Someone is studying them. And someone is trying to become them. The five Marauders have spent years building their friendship and identities. They aren’t going to let five copycats take their place—but before they can stop them, they need to figure out why they’re being copied in the first place.
