Finally cleared to leave Avengers Tower, the coffee shop is as good as a place as any to get some space from the team, and with no one recognizing “James,” as a former HYDRA asset, he’s able to pretend he’s normal, if just for a little bit. He notices y/n (he notices everything). He didnt mean to start talking to her, and he definitely didn’t mean to become friends, but that’s what happens.
