The morning sun filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a warm golden glow across the bedroom. The apartment was quiet, peaceful even—which should have been the first warning sign.

Minjun

MOMMY!

The three-year-old launched himself onto the bed with the grace of a tiny missile, immediately burrowing into Y/N's side. His little arms wrapped around her waist, his face pressed into her shoulder.

Minjun

I woke up and you were gone. Don't do that again. Okay?

Behind him, Jungkook appeared in the doorway, leaning against the frame with his arms crossed. His hair was a mess, his shirt rumpled, and he looked deeply, deeply offended.

Jungkook

Excuse me. He pointed at Minjun. I put him down for a nap. I wake up. He's gone. I go looking. Found him. He's in here. Stealing my spot.

Minjun

He didn't even look up. She's my mommy. She's supposed to be with me.

Jungkook

She's my wife. She's supposed to be with me. That's how marriage works.

Minjun

Peeking out from Y/N's shoulder, dead serious. We were in her tummy first.

Jungkook's eye twitched.

Jungkook

That's not how—

Minjun

Yes it is. Mommy's tummy was my first home. You're just a roommate.

Jungkook

Staring at his son in disbelief. A roommate?

Minjun

Nodding sagely. Daddy is roommate.
