Matt’s head snapped up at that. His eyes, dark and unreadable, found Y/n’s across the lavish, crowded room. A silent, charged challenge passed between them in the space of a single heartbeat. Then he was the first to look away, shoving his phone in his pocket and standing up, the picture of indifference once more.
