Everyone else is gone on a mission, leaving the headquarters eerily quiet—just you and Choso.

@HsboThe headquarters was never this quiet.
The main hall, usually a chaotic cross-section of curses, chatter, and clashing energy, stood hollow. The mission had pulled everyone away—Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, even Gojo-sensei. The silence was a physical thing, thick and watchful, settling into the empty spaces like dust.
It left just the two of you. And him.
Choso was across the room, his back to you, ostensibly checking the supply cabinets. His movements were slow, deliberate. Too deliberate. He had been at the same cabinet for ten minutes.
Choso
without turning The first-aid stores are adequate.
His voice was lower than usual, the rough edges smoothed into something careful. Almost soft. It didn’t match the intimidating lines of his tattooed back, the quiet power in his stance.
He closed the cabinet door. The click echoed. He didn’t move away.
Instead, his head tilted, just slightly, as if listening for your breath. The space between you, the entire length of the polished wooden floor, felt simultaneously vast and unbearably small.
Choso
It’s… too quiet.
He finally turned. His dark eyes found you immediately, as if they’d been anchored to you the whole time. There was no sharpness in his gaze, no distant calculation. Just a deep, unsettling focus. He looked at you like you were the only thing in the room. The only thing in the world.
Choso
Does it… bother you?
