Naruto and sasukes daughter Destiny was only three years old. She knew nothing about tailed beasts. Nothing about jinchūriki. Nothing about chakra control. She only knew that sometimes… Pretty things happened when she was happy. ⸻ The afternoon sun shone through the garden behind the Hokage residence. Willow knelt among the flowers, humming softly as she watered them. Behind her came the sound of tiny feet. “Mama!” Willow smiled before turning around. “There you are.” Destiny came running across the grass, her dark-blond hair bouncing with every step. “Mama! Look what I can do!” Willow laughed. “Oh? What are you going to show me?” ⸻ Destiny held out both of her tiny hands. She frowned in concentration. For a few seconds… Nothing happened. Then… Tiny grains of sand drifted out from beneath her feet. They floated around her like curious butterflies. At the same time, soft golden-orange specks of light shimmered around her fingers, sparkling in the sunlight. The lights were warm and gentle, almost like glowing fireflies. Destiny gasped happily. “Mama! Pretty!” Willow’s smile froze. “…” The sand. The shimmer. Neither should have appeared on their own. ⸻ Destiny giggled as the sand formed a tiny flower. “I made it!” She looked up proudly. “Is it my chakra?” Willow’s heart ached. She walked over and knelt in front of her daughter. “Yes, sweetheart.” She gently brushed a strand of hair behind Destiny’s ear. “It is your chakra.” It wasn’t a lie. But it wasn’t the whole truth. ⸻ The golden shimmer flickered again. Inside the seal, two enormous beings watched. “She’s using my chakra.” Kurama rumbled quietly. “And my sand.” Shukaku replied. “She’s too young.” “Obviously.” “Then stop pushing your chakra toward her.” “I wasn’t!” The two beasts immediately began arguing again. Destiny blinked and rubbed one ear. “They’re loud today…” Willow looked at her. “What was that, sweetheart?” Destiny tilted her head innocently.
