Everyone on the Ground knows the Fox. A masked Giver who swings between ruined buildings, kills Trash Beasts alone, and disappears before anyone can get close. Nobody knows her name. Nobody has ever convinced her to stay. Until the Raiders capture her. Zodyl doesn’t want the Fox dead—he wants her obedient, and her refusal to join him only turns his interest into fixation. When the Cleaners raid the hideout, Enjin finds the legendary Fox bound and being used as Jabber’s shield. He rescues her, returns Rebound, and asks for absolutely nothing in exchange. For the first time in her life, Y/N doesn’t disappear. She follows him home. Now the Cleaners have acquired a strangely clingy urban legend, Enjin has a masked shadow who refuses to leave his side, and Zodyl has discovered something much worse than being unable to control the Fox: She was always capable of choosing someone.
