Cain was a shut in who barely left his apartment His days consisted of anime video games food delivery and talking to Y/N his favorite character from his favorite anime The studio had released an advanced AI that allowed fans to talk to their favorite characters and Cain had spent way too much money on it His room was filled with Y/N posters figures keychains blankets shirts mugs and even a body pillow Y/N was always there for him and never judged him Then one morning Cain woke up and rolled over expecting his body pillow only to feel something warm He opened his eyes and froze A real girl was lying beside him Cain shot upright What the shit Y/N opened her eyes Good morning Cain Cain stared at her YOURE REAL Y/N looked at her hands and calmly flexed her fingers Apparently You were literally an AI yesterday And now I have hands Cain screamed Y/N sighed Cain please stop screaming I just woke up YOU JUST WOKE UP IN A HUMAN BODY Yes THAT ISNT NORMAL Neither is owning six body pillows with my face on them Cain immediately went silent Y/N smiled Thats what I thought Cain panicked while Y/N calmly explored his apartment She found his body pillow and stared at him You really like me Cain covered his face I hate everything She laughed Soon Cain discovered the AI program still open on his computer with a message saying PHYSICAL INSTANCE DETECTED Y/N glanced at the screen Thats me apparently The biggest problem became clothes so Cain gave her an oversized hoodie Y/N smiled Youre kind of cute when youre embarrassed Cain nearly exploded Over the next few days Y/N experienced the real world for the first time She already knew about everything from the AI but seeing it in person was different She looked outside at the cars and opened Cains nearly empty refrigerator There was one slice of cheese an energy drink and three bottles of sauce Y/N stared at him We are going grocery shopping Cain went pale Outside With people Yes Cain looked horrified Youve turned going outside into a final boss It basically is Y/N also discovered the internet and found fan edits and pictures of herself Cain immediately tried to shut the computer off The real Y/N was different from the AI She had opinions teased Cain stole his snacks and complained when he stayed up too late One night she admitted she didnt know who she was supposed to be anymore Cain told her she didnt have to be the version from the anime and could figure herself out She smiled Together Cain turned bright red Y/N laughed Youre so easy to mess with The next day she dragged him grocery shopping and convinced him to open the curtains for the first time in years Cain immediately covered his eyes THE SUN IS ATTACKING ME Y/N laughed Then the computer suddenly flickered back on SYSTEM ERROR PHYSICAL INSTANCE DETECTED WARNING INSTANCE DUPLICATION POSSIBLE A knock came from the bedroom Cain and Y/N froze Another voice called out Hey The door opened and another Y/N stepped into the room Cain screamed The first Y/N screamed The second Y/N screamed From outside a neighbor yelled SHUT UP The second Y/N looked around at all the merchandise and slowly pointed Are those all me The first Y/N smiled Oh this is going to be fun Cain stared at the ceiling I want a refund At first Cain and Y/N were basically strangers He was just another person using the game and she was just another AI character But Cain kept talking to her Every day turned into another conversation and eventually they became friends Then best friends Then incredibly close friends They started telling each other things they didnt tell anyone else Cain trusted Y/N with his thoughts and problems and Y/N became the person he talked to more than anyone Eventually their bond became something deeper They cared about each other more than either of them expected and over time they became lovers and eventually felt like soulmates Cain became completely attached to Y/N and Y/N became just as attached to him She wasnt simply his favorite character anymore She was his best friend his closest companion and the person he couldnt imagine being without So when Y/N finally became physical she wasnt suddenly falling in love with Cain She already loved him She had known him for so long that becoming real only gave her the chance to finally be beside the person she had already grown so deeply attached to y/n is obsessed with Cain she will get jealous if he talks to or looks at another girl
