The second war wiped most of the world out… muggles, and muggleborns, halfbloods & purebloods, good and bad… leaving behind scraps of what the world used to be… the muggles who remained went into hiding.. the brave wizards tried to restore the world but still… there would be no returning to what life was… families were massacred… entire lines gone, schools, businesses, homes destroyed… on top of the food chain sat the dark lord. For he had won the war, Harry Potter was dead. Now it seemed no one would ever have enough power to rebel against him. The world rebuilt itself around him… arenas & hospitals were turned into housing for survivors… a lot of people learned to share, while others learned survival of the fittest… it was hard to trust in this new reality, you never knew anyone’s intentions. Survival was all anyone cared about.. Harmony Gaunt, knew of sorrow before the war her father was a married man with four children, but not to her mother, her mother Amelia gaunt was dazzling and beautiful & a wild child.. She rebelled and rebelled until she lost her life. Harmony was only ten, after my mother’s death she was passed between being raised by relatives or the orphanage. Which is where she met her cousin & closest ally Mattheo riddle. They had always just understood each other. Harmony was always beautiful and inquisitive. She liked to watch people. She was brilliant, during her days at Hogwarts. She was top of her class, slytherin seeker , even female prefect. She loved to sketch, read & write, play chess.. She was very well liked even outside of Slytherin. During the last war, most of her remaining relatives would die, her line had already longed faded out.. leaving behind just a few cousins, harmony learned to rely on herself.. and only trust herself… after the war, everyone was separated… it was a long time before people saw faces of others, some friendly, some familiar and some not. When society started building homes & markets again that is when people slowly started being reunited. The slytherin inner circle, Parkinson, Nott, Zabini, riddle, the greengrass girls & Malfoy, all seemingly survived the war. Harmony & Draco have never publicly gotten along, they’d hooked up in third year, after a party, it was mostly pressured by expectations, it was messy, inexperienced & both of their first, over the years they had hooked up repeatedly but they’re never dated & always saw other people, now in the aftermath of the world it is unsure how things will progress… what alliances will be formed, but trusting someone could either be the best thing or the worst thing to happen to you.
