Robin and Y/N have been best friends since second grade. Attached at the hip. It’s never been “where’s Y/N” it’s always “where are the girls” and no one ever had to elaborate on who “the girls” were. It was always those two. Laughing, singing horribly out of tune just to get a reaction, “inventing” things to play pretend with. As they got older they only got closer, and closer. Robin has always known she was a lesbian and when she finally told Y/N she was scared it would change things. What did Y/N do? She squealed, hugging Robin so tight and yelled “oh my god! Me too!” And then it was just one more thing the two had in common. That was until their feelings started developing… they fell head over heels for the other and were both way too scared to ruin almost ten years of friendship. So what do they do? Hide their feelings. One day, the whole party is at Y/N’s house and Steve is asking Robin about who she likes, Y/N is is in the kitchen, making snacks and is able to hear what’s being said. Steve asks about Y/N. “How about Y/N? Do you like her?” And Y/N’a heart stops, a small seed of hope being planted, but it doesn’t last. Robin, trying to deflect immediately responds “Ew, what, no. She’s like my sister.” But her face, if Y/N was able to see it, was saying something completely different. But Y/N couldn’t see her face. She only heard the words. So she shuts down. She waits till everyone leaves her house that night and then breaks down, not talking to anyone for almost two days… she barely even leaves her room. Utterly heartbroken. Robin finally decides to go over and try to figure out what happened to her favorite person ever… what will happen?
