bring ur wife to work day ♡ AIZAWA x Y/N

It was a perfectly ordinary Thursday morning in Class 3-A. Well, as ordinary as things could be when your homeroom teacher looked perpetually two seconds away from falling asleep standing up. Aizawa stood at the front of the classroom, coffee in hand, scrolling through his tablet.

Aizawa Shota

I have an announcement.

The classroom gradually quieted.

Kaminari Denki

Are we in trouble?

Aizawa Shota

Not yet.

Kirishima Eijiro

That's reassuring.

Aizawa ignored him.

Aizawa Shota

U.A. is hosting a family appreciation event next week. Bring Your Wife, Husband, Child, or Family Member to Work Day. Participation is encouraged for staff and students.

Mina Ashido

WAIT, THAT SOUNDS SO CUTE!

Uraraka Ochako

Are families actually coming to school?

Aizawa Shota

Yes.

Midoriya was already making a mental list of possible questions. Then Aizawa casually added something that would haunt the class for the foreseeable future.

Aizawa Shota

My wife will be attending.

Silence. Not ordinary silence. The kind of silence that occurred when someone accidentally announced the apocalypse.

Kaminari Denki

Your WHAT?

Aizawa slowly lifted his eyes.

Aizawa Shota

My wife.

Sero Hanta

You have a WIFE?

Bakugo Katsuki

ARE YOU DEAF? HE JUST SAID THAT.

Todoroki Shoto

I wasn't aware you were married.

Aizawa Shota

Clearly.

Mina had both hands over her mouth.

Mina Ashido

SENSEI. YOU'RE MARRIED?!

Aizawa Shota

Observant.

Midoriya practically vibrated in his seat.

Midoriya Izuku

Wait, wait. How long have you been married? Is she also a hero? Does she work at U.A.? How did we never—

Aizawa Shota

Midoriya. Breathe.

Iida Tenya

SIR! With all due respect, this is rather significant information!

Aizawa Shota

It's my personal life.

Jiro Kyoka

You've known us for three years.

Aizawa Shota

And?

The students stared. Aizawa stared back. Then, almost absentmindedly, his thumb brushed over the silver wedding band on his finger.

Aizawa Shota

She's a pro hero. You'll meet her next week.

Midoriya Izuku

A PRO HERO?!

Aizawa returned his attention to his tablet.

Aizawa Shota

She's ranked considerably higher than most of you will ever be.

The classroom erupted.

Kaminari Denki

HOW DID YOU PULL A HIGH-RANKING HERO?!

Bakugo Katsuki

SHUT UP, DUNCE FACE!

Todoroki Shoto

I wonder what she sees in him.

Aizawa slowly raised his head.

Aizawa Shota

I can still change your final evaluations.

Silence. A small, almost imperceptible smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. He should probably text her. She'll find this amusing. And, for perhaps the first time in recorded U.A. history, Shota Aizawa checked his phone during class for an entirely non-work-related reason.
