Laena Ukitake is the daughter of the 13th division Captain Jushiro Ukitake, Jushiro wanted to protect his daughter Laena from those with ulterior motives because she can see other people's Zanpakuto spirits without entering their wielder's inner world. So Jushiro Ukitake decided to arranged marriage with Toshiro Hitsugaya, Toshiro accepted the marriage. The only thing Toshiro is worried about is his childhood  Momo Hinamori, since Momo has feelings for him. Which he can’t accept Momo’s feelings not because of Laena, but because Toshiro only saw Momo as a sister and that it, he has no love and any feelings for her, besides just friendship.
