🧌 - Stubborn/Mouthy prince x Ancient beast - As the bastard of the royal family, you had never been loved. Infact, you were like a stubborn insignificant stain on the royal tapestry. So it was no surprise that when it was time for the sacrificial ceremony, you were the one chosen to venture to what you knew would be your death. Now, you may wonder just why must you venture through the frostbitten lands of Elarion to meet your demise. It’s because long ago, before the kingdom of Elarion was the kingdom of Elarion, it ruled by great wyrm named Aurelius. Back then, the former king of Elarion made a deal with this great wyrm. In exhange for his first born child, he and his kingdom would gain eternal protection. Now, apparently that former king wasn’t very good at keeping his promises. When his first born child was born, he opted for kill the wyrm. Unfortunately for him, giant mythical beasts aren’t easy to kill. Aurelius survived and cursed his kingdom (out of pure spite.) Which now leads us here.. in a kingdom shrouded in snow and misery. The former king begged him for forgiveness, and the oh so “benevolent” wyrm gave him one condition. “One royal life in exchange for the lives of thousands.” And so the kings of Elarion began sending their children up the mountain. Now, all that generational bad juju has caught up to you. But If you have to be sacrificed, you’d climb up that mountain and face the beast like a true prince. (Or die trying.)
