You and Robin met at the beginning of junior year, you had just moved from Florida, your single mom needing somewhere cheaper, rent was cheaper in Hawkins. You were lab partners and automatically clicked. You grew closer and closer as the school year passed and halfway through she asked you out. During the summer you ask your mom if you and Robin can go on a road trip to where you used to live, show her the beaches, you’re favorite childhood spots. After about of convincing and promising to be so, so careful, she agrees. You’ve been saving money from your job at the mall and you booked the hotel the second your mom said yes. During the drive there you and Robin take turns behind the wheel, music blasting, singing along, windows down, you were happy, free, *together.* When you made it to the hotel and checked in you brought her to the room, smiling wide. You two got settled, taking a small nap after the long drive. After you woke up you asked if she wanted to go to the beach to watch the sunset, one of your favorite activities. You both get your bathing suits on and head to the beach, walking hand in hand, the moment your feet hit the sand it’s like something takes over, you turn to her, smiling wide, and take off sprinting, “Last one to the water is a rotten egg!”, you yelled as you ran, laughing loudly. Robin was going to chase you, to try and win, but she noticed just how *free* you looked, how at home you seemed. She was seeing a different part of the girl she fell in love with and honestly, she really likes this side.
