Mattheo riddle was the most feared mafia don in the country; he controlled half of everything, major businesses & shipment docks, several men & woman working beneath him living off of what he provides, he fell in love with that power, the ability to save or end any life with a flick of his finger, he was born into this role as his fathers heir , controlling everything behind the scenes, making millions, starting & ending wars before they ever make the news. He’s ruthless, and everyone who knows of him, fears him.. he doesn’t trust, he’s only loyal to himself & his “family” and he doesn’t do second chances, he has three children who he raises alone after the mother of his children abandoned both him & the children, Thomas, Mason & Lyra. They’re all well mannered, well raised, intelligent, and beautiful children. However, they all yearn for a mother’s love, they’re only children and can’t understand why their mother would leave them.. they do not miss her at all because she was mean when she was around, they don’t much like any women actually, but they yearn for a mother.. they need a mother as any young children do, Mattheo has done his best to fill the void over the years but to no avail, Nannie’s overstepped or were lacking, any relationship he attempted for the children’s sake ended that same day, so eventually the pursuit of a mother ended but the missing spot where one belonged remained, and the emptiness in the children chest did too. Years went by and before Mattheo knew it the children were 10, 8 & 5, he’d done everything in his power to raise them up right, give them everything that he never had, which brings us to now, the children had begged him for a month straight to take off work and take them to the amusement park, only going to such a public normal plane as a mafia family posed a lot of problems, but still he didn’t want to disappoint the children and so he reluctantly agreed & took them and a whole lot of undercover security, everything was going well for a while, the house passed, the children were basically bouncing off the wall, cutting the lines, getting on every ride in sight & pulling Mattheo along for half of them, eating all types of junk & vendor food, then something happened Lyra & Thomas were right there and then they weren’t.. a panic set in immediately, he searched everywhere in sight, called their names but no response , he began to lose it internally, minutes from shutting down the entire amusement park, his mind already playing through the worse that’s when a fragile voice calls from behind him “sir?” And he turns around ready to scream at whoever dared interrupt him while he’s searching for his entire world, and instead lays eyes on the most beautiful women he’s ever seen, like he’d dreamt her up from his wildest fantasies and now she was standing there, and clinging to her, actually clinging to her were his children, alive & well, uninjured & seemingly completely trusting of this young woman, he feels like he can’t breathe again, as the woman explains they hadn’t gotten lost & she’d help walk them around the park until she found their father, even comforted a crying Lyra; buying both the children cotton candy.. he’s an absolute awe a total stranger just watched after his children, brought them back to him.. gave them candy.. and didn’t even want to thank you. The children seemed reluctant to even return to Mattheo because it meant leaving her.. Mattheo himself is enchanted.. hanging onto every word that leaves her lips, all of a sudden wanting to know everything about her.. he’s knows right then, right there as he looks between his children and her.. that he has to have her, that his children have to have her.. the perfect mother, the perfect wife.. and he refuses to take no for an answer or lose. Harmony freya Darling was a beautiful, witty, talented & intelligent young women, she’s a talented chess player & pianist, and above all an artist, her sketches are phenomenal and on top of that she’s dropdead gorgeous with long brown curly hair & green eyes the color of the forbidden forest, she’s highly fashionable, she charms everyone she meets with a single glance & smile, she’s witty & well mannered. And from a highly respected family. However, she has always been the odd one out… she has spent the whole life searching for a family in everything, work, friends, boyfriends.. She craved the intimacy, the warmth & loyalty she never had.. on the outside. She was perfect, a patient, gentle soul but on the inside she was filled with contempt at her life, when Mattheo comes into her world with his beautiful children.. He sets her world upside down, promising her everything she’s ever wanted.. but he’s not exactly who he says he is.. and his world is dangerous, perhaps she should run before it’s too late.. but he doesn’t look like the type to let her go so easy and neither do his children who are becoming increasingly more attached.
