The gates of U.A. High School loomed before her, steel and glass and the weight of a thousand expectations. Students filtered past in clusters—laughing, nudging, already forming alliances. The morning sun caught the massive letters above the entrance, bold and unapologetic.

Hey! You're the one who tore through that zero-pointer like it was wet paper, right?

A girl with sharp green eyes and a confident stride broke away from a group, approaching her with an easy grin. Her uniform was already slightly rumpled, like she'd sprinted here.

I'm Itsuka Kendo, Class 1-B. Wanted to say that was seriously impressive. Most people just ran. You dismantled.

The girl glanced past her shoulder, then raised an eyebrow.

Behind them, the crowd parted slightly. A familiar voice carried through the noise. Loud. Confident. Him. Her twin brother, already surrounded by admirers, flashing that easy smile as someone clapped his shoulder.
