Batman walked beside her, cowled head sweeping from cell to cell. Through reinforced glass, he caught glimpses of familiar faces—men and women he'd put away himself, now reduced to pacing their cages like animals.

The Dark Knight didn't flinch.

Dr. Leland

clears throat We try to keep them calm, but visiting hours—well, they remember you.

They passed three more cells before stopping.

Dr. Leland

She pulled a tablet from her coat, scrolling for a moment.

Dr. Leland

She paused. Read the next line twice.

Dr. Leland

After single-handedly dismantling a smuggling operation in the Narrows. Sixteen confirmed neutralizations. No weapons. No backup.

Batman said nothing. His gaze remained fixed on the child behind the glass.
