You take your mark, adjusting the layered baby pink, blue, and white skirt, the ruffles brushing against your thighs. The heart-shaped cutout of the matching crop top feels cool against your skin, over the white undershirt.

It's the encore segment. The choreography is looser, more playful. The members are supposed to interact with the backup dancers tonight.

Across the stage, Felix finds his position. His platinum blonde hair is swept back, a few strands falling across his forehead. He’s wearing the same color scheme as you and the other dancers—soft pastels that make his freckles stand out under the stage lights.

The chorus hits.

As Felix sings the first line—Why do I keep getting attracted?—his eyes find yours across the stage.

They hold.

A beat longer than choreography dictates.
